My
father was a hardworking man, dedicated to his craft. Despite the onslaught of
his sickness, he pushed on to complete his last work, a sculpture created for
the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
I
am saddened to announce that my father, Anthony Poon, has last the battle to
cancer and passed away on the 2nd of September 2006. He lived a
fulfilling life and had a successful career, dying fulfilling a wish he made in
1991 when he said:
“I
would like to end my life with a paint brush in my hand.”
